How to play Connect 4

Connect 4 (Four in a row) online is a simple yet challenging strategy game where you compete against the computer directly in your browser to connect four discs. The perfect game for practicing logical thinking and strategy. Here's how to play:

Game setup

Your disc color is randomly selected when the game starts (red or yellow)
You can switch between red and yellow disc colors at any time
You each have 21 discs
Depending on the difficulty level, either you or the computer starts
Click on the column where you want to drop your disc
The disc automatically falls to the lowest available position
Take turns placing discs until someone wins or the board is full

How to win

Place four of your discs in a row to win
The row can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal
You must defeat the computer to complete the level
If the board becomes full without a winner, it's a draw, and you can try again

Strategy and tactics for winning

Plan your moves strategically - always think several moves ahead
Pay attention to both your own winning opportunities and your opponent's
At higher difficulty levels, the computer uses advanced strategies

Calculation of knowledge points

Each completed game level in Connect 4 gives 1 knowledge points. You can collect a maximum of 22 knowledge points by completing all 22 levels.

In the game Connect 4, you can earn a total of 66 medals. Medals are awarded based on how many times you have completed a level:

Bronze medal: after completing 2 rounds.
Silver medal: after completing 5 rounds.
Gold medal: after completing 10 rounds.

Knowledge points are only awarded for levels you have not completed before, meaning those that do not yet have checked green circles. Even after completing a level and earning both knowledge points and medals, you can continue practicing it. However, this will not grant any additional knowledge points or medals.

Even though level 20, 21, and 22 are technically harder in terms of the computer's strategy, the labels depend on actual player performance. If more players beat the computer on a certain level, it gets a lower difficulty label, even if the computer is stronger. That's why level 22, although it has an even smarter computer opponent, is labeled "slightly difficult" — because more players have managed to win on that level compared to level 20 and 21.

Keith is right. I find it easier to win at level 6 or above than on the lower levels because the higher levels are too predictable.

I really like the game but the exceptionally hard difficulty could use an update because at first it’s hard but after a while it becomes easy because it does the same moves. But it’s still a good game!

The whole reason this is a bad rated game is because it is hard. Its actually a pretty good game. Yes, it is challenging if you pick harder levels, but is still very fun!
